Who Are We Facing

London Giants are back in action in the NVL Men’s Super League on Sunday the 9th of February at 2:30 at the Clapham Leisure Centre taking on University of Nottingham. Still tickets available on Eventbrite for £6.13. With only two points between them this could be an important game for the Giants and will be a good test for the team. The Giants will be looking to continue their winning streak after beating IBB Polonia London last Sunday to keep the progression up the table.

Last Time Out

Last time out against University of Nottingham our London Giants came back home after facing a close defeat. Facing four sets and only managing to come away with one successful set. University of Nottingham were able to go up by two winning the first set 25-17 and the second 25-20. However the London Giants came back with a good fight by getting one back winning their set 17-25. University of Nottingham did then eventually close the game out winning the final set 25-19.

Our Opponents

The University of Nottingham have had an up and down season despite recently being on their own winning streak beating both IBB Polonia London and Malory Eagles UEL. The University of Nottingham had a strong start to the season winning 4 games and only losing one. However, after a two week break they struggled to keep this rhythm up and started to have a dip in results losing three in a row. However, things have started to look more positive again and they could use this to their advantage.

University of Nottingham have had strong stats this season dominating the majority of their games. They have however only managed to not drop any sets in only one of their games. They may look to try and achieve this in their last few games of the season to stay high up the table.

University of Nottingham are currently sitting third in the league table. They are however looking to stay there and grow the points difference between them and the teams sitting behind them. They have a tough challenge with this as they are a few games behind but this could give them that extra drive going into the next few games.
